Do characters' need flaws?

Yes characters do need flaws to portray true beauty. People all have different views and opinions on what beauty is. When one reads a magazine and thinks wow she is beautiful or extremely attractive, they are not really sticking a name to that particular person, since the picture in the magazine has been edited to a single pixel to have it ''plastic'' perfect. In magazines they want to sell you something, either it be the magazine itself or a product. Each photo is critiqued to simplistic perfection. This is not true beauty, since you cannot find a beautiful person based on a picture in a magazine or a published article. I am not insisting that the person in the photograph is not beautiful, because the person may be. A character has to be realistic, since everyone has flaws, even if it is the smallest mark on a visible spot. Everyone is born with a special feature that may or may not be unique to them, but it is still a flaw that is marked as human.

What I would like to blog on.

I do like specific topics but they do need to be interesting to me, so I will be engaged to right decently. If it was my choice for a topic I would like to write about world events, since I enjoy watching the news when they are reporting on interesting world events. I really do not like writing on sports, though I do love and am very interested in physical activity such as running, pilates, and yoga but very much dislike organized sports. I do not dislike sports that much but I never was really into watching, and never really played on a team. I am also interested in fashion but I doubt it would be very interesting to write on. I love reading books on the holocaust and such since I really enjoy history. Writing on a created person that I created in a situation I really like, since I have a ton of creativity and can talk about things that have not happened to be but have knowledge on them. I do like writing on children also since I love children and want to teach them for a career in the near yet far future. These are a few of my interests that I would be intreged to write on, thanks Searcy!

First Blog Entry Reply

Option Number 1:

If I could have any super power in the world, I would chose to have the superpower of the green thumb. The green thumb super power would give one the ability to grow any plant, in any climate or landscape condition, this super power would also include the ability to replenish water supplies . With this super power it would give me the opportunity to end world hunger by growing vegetables, fruit, and other plants to aid in the productivity of the civilians. My first mission would be in the middle east where a majority of the viscious fighting is due to lack of water, if I could visit that area and replenish the water supply it would be a life saving miracle for them. Next I would visit countries which have a abnormally large percentage of malnutrition and every little peice of spareable land would be filled with luscious green food bearing plants. I would also purchase a large amount of plant pots to insert bright delightfully coloured flowers to give to children in poverty to give them hope and to make them smile. I would do this out of love for the world and the dream to have a world that eats healthy fresh grown produce to nurious billions of mouths each day. I would not do this to become rich or famous, I would just like the world to be a more joyous carefree place to live in, for once.
